One of the top television networks in the world has an immediate need for a QA Automation Developer / Test Engineer. You would be writing Selenium Frameworks using Java or JavaScript. This role is working with the video streaming group of the network. You must be a developer to qualify for this position, not just a tester. The Selenium Engineer will be responsible for contributing to and maintaining a full suite of automated test scripts related to web sites owned and operated by our Network, as well as mobile applications. Suitable candidates should be experienced in writing scripts for testing back-end services. The candidate will also need a strong knowledge of databases and data validation testing

THIS IS NOT A MANUAL TESTER ROLE. IT IS A DEVELOPMENT / TEST ENGINEERING ROLE IN A 100% AUTOMATED ENVIRONMENT

Candidate will be required to demonstrate expertise programmatically writing automated test scripts using Selenium or an equivalent headless browser. He/She will be responsible for setting up end-to-end up automation testing, including scheduling, reporting, and automated distribution of reports detailing the test results. Suitable candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent trouble shooting and analytical problem solving skills.They will be part of an agile team and will participate in all aspects of planning, reviewing requirements, writing, updating, and maintaining test plans, test cases, and regression testing documents, as required. They will be responsible for logging and tracking defects, and will work closely with developers, project managers, and product managers to ensure quality testing is taking place in a timely manner. As a QA Automation Engineer, they are required to be proficient in automated, manual, functional, mobile and web based testing best practices and techniques

Experience

• Strong hands on experience with end to end automation testing

• 3+ years of programming experience in either Java, or JavaScript

• 2+ years of experience with data validation and data migration testing using SQL

• 2+ year of experience taking part in agile project management methodologies

• Experience with video or continuous integration is a plus

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong familiarity with UNIX based system
